Surgut, the oldest city of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, will celebrate its 430th anniversary in 2024. The glorious history of this Siberian city is filled with amazing events, which should not been forgotten by the modern generation. For this purpose, a pedestrian route was developed to connect history and modernity into a single whole.
Murals with historical images on the facades of residential buildings will serve as important landmarks of this route.
Taking into account the peculiarities of the Siberian climate, the traditional technology of creating murals turned out to be completely unsuitable.
But it was very important to remain the images of the Trinity Cathedral, the All Male Parish School, the All Female Parish School and the ancient map of Surgut for a long time, reminding the residents of their special historical role in the life of the city.
That is why the developers of this project have chosen BILDEX products. Aluminium composite panels by BILDEX could be mounted in murals on the walls of the city buildings. The unique technology of the BILDEXart series made it possible to recreate historical images with amazing precision. Now the murals will decorate the pedestrian route and will eventually become another landmark of Surgut.
