International Culture & Art Centre was established in 2019 in Changsha, Hunan Province. The incredible project with an area of 115 thousand square meters is an ensemble of three buildings, including 2 theater halls, 8 exhibition galleries, Art Museum, lecture halls and administrative offices. The author of the project is the Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, a representative of Deconstructivism and the first woman to be awarded the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize.
The uniqueness of this project lies in the independent architectural concept. It can be clearly seen in the facade waves, creating the impression of movement in space. Innovative design and bold configuration provided a decent atmosphere for the world art. The Center's buildings, being similar to the alien ships, distract visitors from problems, involving them into the world of beauty. The latest types of facade materials made it possible to create exceptional and in many ways unique architectural project.
Changsha International Culture & Art Centre has had a significant impact on the modern architecture and is certainly a cultural symbol of the city.
